The HP Scitex XL1500 digital printing system provides a full solution for almost any super-wide format need. It offers easy switching between four, six, and eight colors; long-lasting vibrant color; fine text; zero gap between files; and a high quality-to-speed ratio. Printing in high-quality or draft mode, in almost any size, format or media, the HP Scitex XL1500 enables you to produce virtually any close- or long-viewing application, enabling a particularly fast ROI. Applications include: indoor, outdoor, backlit signage; flexface billboards, banners, posters, building coverings, vehicle graphics, double-sided applications, pop-up displays, and truck curtains; and textiles, including carpets, wallpaper, and theater drops.

High-performance dedicated RIP
Onyx® PosterShop® RIP, a leading RIP for four, six and eight-color systems, is optimized for the HP Scitex XL1500. Optimized features include:

It can print directly on PVC materials — flexface, frontlit or backlit banner, and pre-seamed banner; textiles — fabrics, canvas, mesh, carpet, trevira, and flag; Tyvek; self-adhesive vinyl, including window and floor graphics; paper; and much more. Integrated drying system
The powerful, versatile, and fully controllable integrated drying mechanism is based on infrared devices and has several heat settings, allowing you to balance application and media needs with efficient electricity consumption.

Print head carriage

Backlit and double-sided printing
With the double-sided printing feature, you can create backlit applications in which both sides are printed — one with the image and the other with the same image flipped (reversed) to achieve exact registration. This feature is important for signs that are exposed to different light conditions during the day and night. You can also create double-sided applications in which different images are printed on each side of blockout material for hanging in a manner that allows viewing from both sides.

Eight dedicated ink colors
HP Scitex XL300 Supreme inks offer an extended color gamut, deliver a smooth appearance, and dry completely, even in heavily loaded, double-sided blockouts. A special dark/light ink reservoir structure enables enhanced image quality through minimum graininess, maximum natural color, and highly accurate registration.
