PowerFocus™ HD Optic System
Definition: The PowerFocus™ HD 6-Element Lens System is an exclusive new lens system designed specifically for HDTV. Most lens systems cannot faithfully reproduce a high-definition signal. PowerFocus™ HD utilizes six elements, advanced lens design, and a peerless color-correction system to produce an image that is up to 65% sharper than an image produced by standard lens systems. In addition to the benefits of Toshiba PowerFocus™ CRTs (Cathode Ray Tubes), this year's improved PowerFocus™ HD CRTs utilize numerous image-enhancing advancements, including a higher beam current and finer beam spot, for a 30% increase in sharpness and a 10% increase in brightness over standard CRTs. These advanced CRTs, now on all of our integrated HDTV and HDTV-Compatible models, produce a 20% focus improvement over last year's models. The new PowerFocus™ HD Optic System enables Toshiba 50", 55", and 61" Cinema Series® HD models to take advantage of crystal-clear HDTV signals, producing up to 1280 lines horizontal resolution.

CableCARD™
Toshiba Integrated HDTVs are Digital Cable Ready. They include QAM tuning and a CableCARD™ slot (formerly called POD). This Interactive Program Guide provides an easy to read listing of the television programs available to view or record. TV Guide On Screen™ Interactive Program Guide provides: an 8-day program listing, flexibility of recording directly to DVD or the HDD, the ability to perform keyword searches for locating favorite programs and includes the G-Link IR Blaster for controlling cable boxes. When recording television programs, the name of the show, along with the channel and date, are automatically captured.

OmniViewer™
Toshiba 2004 Integrated HDTVs now have slots for five different types of memory cards, including SD (Secure Digital), MM (Multi-Media), MS (Memory Stick), CF (Compact Flash), and SM (Smart Media). In addition, OmniViewer™ includes a JPEG Viewer program that allows the TV to display pictures from most digital cameras. Pictures can be rotated, and can be viewed in an automatic presentation format.

HDMI™ (High-Definition Multimedia Interface)
This single cable connection ensures that all signals remain in their pure digital form and secure by use of High Definition Copy Protection (HDCP) regardless of signal output resolution.
