Enjoy the gorgeous look of this modern widescreen (16x9) KDF-37H1000, as it complements your living room without the hassles of accommodating a new, large TV. Its amazing picture quality boasts crystal clear HDTV capabilities and its advanced features are paired with user-friendly controls and powerful performance. The Xross Media Bar (XMB™) on-screen menu system won an Emmy Award for its intuitive navigation and ability to be used without looking at the remote. For bright and detailed picture quality, the KDF-37H1000 uses remarkable 3LCD chip technology that is capable of 2.76 million pixels. For added convenience, BRAVIA™ Theater Sync allows you to easily manage select Sony HDMI audio and video components with a single remote.

3LCD Chips
The 3LCD technology at the heart of Sony’s BRAVIA® televisions provide a bright picture, with high detail and natural color. These three key benefits are immediately apparent when viewing a BRAVIA® TV. You can expect to see an incredibly detailed picture with eye-popping colors. Sony uses three tiny LCD chips (0.73”) with a combined resolution of over 2.76 million pixels. The light from a high output UHP lamp shines into a filtering system that splits the beam into red, green, and blue light streams. Each color goes through its own LCD chip, which passes or blocks the light. The three beams are then instantaneously recombined and sent to the projection lens.

BRAVIA Engine™ EX System
The BRAVIA Engine™ EX video processing system came about as a result of Sony’s expertise and long heritage in bringing cutting-edge picture quality to consumer televisions. It contains intelligent picture enhancement technology that reduces unwanted digital artifacts and delivers superb clarity and detail along with vivid colors. Sony’s own Digital Reality Creation Multi-function v1.0 (DRC-MFv1) processor replaces the original SD signal with its HD equivalent. The result of BRAVIA Engine EX processing? Picture quality has texture and detail, deep and vibrant colors, along with excellent depth and contrast.

Live Color Creation
Live Color Creation is a special Sony function that achieves precise, wide color reproduction using a combination of advanced chroma signal processing algorithms. The benefit is clear blues, natural greens and overall vibrant colors in all scenes.

Xross Media Bar (XMB™) On-Screen Menu System
Xross Media Bar is Sony’s Emmy Award2 winning on-screen navigation interface. XMB users can navigate through the different types of media by scrolling horizontally across icons. After selecting the media type, a list of its content appears as vertical thumbnails. The main benefit of the XMB™ is that it alleviates the need to look at the remote control while searching and selecting content.

DMex Compatibility
DMex compatibility allows the connection and operation of a whole new category of products that is being developed by Sony (sold separately). The first of these products is the optional BRAVIA Internet Video Link module.

BRAVIA Internet Video Link
The first DMex product to be introduced to the market is the DMX-NV1 BRAVIA Internet Video Link module (sold separately). BIVL, as it is affectionately called, can stream available Internet video from select content providers directly to your TV with a broadband connection2 without the need for a PC.

BRAVIA Theatre™ Sync
BRAVIA Theatre Sync reduces the hassle and time consuming job of powering up, changing the signal routing, and other functions to the simple push of one button. All you need to do is to connect BRAVIA Theatre Sync capable products to each other via one HDMI cable. The rest is easy. For instance, if you want to play a DVD simply touch the play button on the remote and BRAVIA Theatre Sync takes over from there. The BRAVIA Home Theatre System and TV turn on. The DVD input on the BRAVIA Theatre system and TV activates. The TV mutes. And finally the DVD plays.

S-Force Front Surround
S-Force™ Front Surround is a virtual surround sound experience made possible using just two front speakers ? in select BRAVIA models. To accomplish this, Sony spent several years studying how our ears work. By understanding exactly how we recognize the origin, direction, volume and timing differences in sound right and left ear, Sony was able to create complex audio processing that delivers dynamic virtual surround sound without the need to bounce sound off walls and back to the listener.

Advanced Iris Function
The Advanced Iris function is a special Sony function designed to improve contrast expression especially in darker scenes. The Advanced Iris function offers two modes ? Auto and Manual. Each mode allows the user to control the function for optimum overall contrast. The key benefits are deep blacks and improved brightness.

HDMI™ and PC Connectivity
Designed for maximum versatility, Sony’s BRAVIA™ MDPJ H-Series high definition televisions are equipped with a generous range of input interfaces. The HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is an all-digital audio/video interface. HDMI supports enhanced or High Definition video, together with multi-channel digital audio to provide matchless image and sound reproduction. Two (2) 1080p HDMI connections are part of the jack pack for KDF-37H1000. A PC input (via HDMI) offers easy connection to your PC, allowing you to use your high resolution KDF-37H1000 HDTV with your PC.
