HDMI™ (High Definition Multimedia Interface) is an uncompressed, all-digital audio/video interface. HDMI™ provides an interface between an audio/video source, such as a set-top box, DVD player, or A/V receiver and an A/V monitor, such as a digital television (DTV), over a single cable. HDMI™ supports standard, enhanced or high definition video, plus multi-channel digital audio on a single cable. It supports all ATSC formats.

ChannelView™: A Mitsubishi system to display all of the channels in the TV’s memory or authorized by CableCARD™. This display will show the channel number, the channel name, the type of channel such as analog or digital, and the program title for digital channels that broadcast that information. If the digital channel also sends future program information, up to 12 hours of program information can be shown for that channel. ChannelView down loads the program information while the TV is turned off and will update information when you view that channel.

CableCard™ Slot: CableCARD™ means No Cable Box Required. Record digital cable through IEEE 1394. Integrated HDTV Digital Cable Ready (DCR) televisions include a CableCARD™ slot on the back panel to allow the customer to receive analog and digital SD / HD cable programming without the need for a cable box. These models also offer full compatibility with HD component, HDMI™ and IEEE 1394 connections. DCR provides a direct connection to the cable system. This direct connection produces the best quality picture possible as well as enables simple system control and easy HD recording.

NetCommand®: All Mitsubishi Digital Cable Ready televisions include NetCommand® with IR learning. This exclusive feature provides your customer with a true one-remote control home theater system. NetCommand® is an on-screen home theater control system that blends control of IEEE 1394 digitally connected products and conventional IR analog connected products into a simple icon-based control system. NetCommand® has a library of codes or can learn the IR codes from almost any IR-based analog component.

MediaCommand™: Plays MP3 and WMA digital audio files and reads digital camera memory cards.

IEEE 1394: The IEEE 1394 multimedia connection enables simple, low-cost, high-bandwidth real-time audio, video and data networking between a Mitsubishi TV and other consumer electronics products such as camcorders, DVHS. With IEEE 1394- compatible products and systems, users can record SD or HD digital video over a plug and play AV network.
