Sans Digital AccuNAS AN104W Storage Server

The AccuNAS AN104W Windows Series is built on the proven Windows Server 2003 R2 family with specially modified code that feature new and enhanced improvements focusing on storage device applications to provide optimal NAS performance. Fully compatible with Windows operating system, AccuNAS Windows Edition will provide you central management of your valuable data with a low cost and high performance.

Dual Gigabit/Hardware/ Hardware RAID Support
Designed with high availability and low TOC in mind, AccuNAS Linux edition is built with simple setup and maintenance features. Installation wizard for easy implementation, convenience web-based management for local or remote configuration, Dual 10/100/1000 network support for teaming or redundant networking, and hardware RAID support for your date storage make AccuNAS a simple trouble free unit.

Feature Rich Network Storage
Since AccuNAS Windows Edition is designed and fully tested with Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 server, AccuNAS will seamlessly and transparently integrate with customers' existing Windows networking environment 100%. Volume Shadow Service (VSS) provides volume snapshots. Shadow copy creation, unlike tape backup, is a non-intrusive process where users do not need to stop work on open files during backup. End users can also benefit from the Shadow Copies for Shared Folders feature, which, if activated, makes possible simple and almost instantaneous restoration of a previous version of a file or folder that was accidentally deleted or overwritten.

Scalability and Reliability
Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 can provide networked storage solutions for small, midsized, and enterprise-sized organizations. The PCI-X expansion port supports SCSI or Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter to expand your storage to several terabytes. In addition to scalability benefits, NAS devices built on Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 are highly reliable and have low maintenance requirements. Since AccuNAS contains only those components necessary to dedicated file serving, there are fewer potential points of failure.

Effective Integration of NAS Devices with Storage Area Networks
A NAS device running Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 can be easily integrated into a storage area network (SAN) as a NAS gateway to the SAN. This configuration brings to NAS devices all the advantages of SANs, including high performance (Fibre Channel) storage, SAN backups, and maximum flexibility in allocating and sharing storage among NAS devices. For organizations with a pre-existing SAN, adding a NAS gateway allows for consolidation of general purpose file servers. Because Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 provides support for clustering, attaching multiple NAS gateways to the SAN provides failover capacity if a NAS device failure occurs.

Expand the Functionality with Ease
iSCSI option and 3rd backup software can easily be add to the AccuNAS Windows Edition to expand the functionality of the unit. iSCSI target option can be added, so that a single device can provide both NAS and iSCSI target functions to network clients for best-suited applications. In addition, AccuNAS Windows Edition can work with most of the Backup Software Packages, such as CA BrightStor, Veritas BackupExec, Veritas Storage Foundation, Bakbone, etc so that you can turn the unit into a real and sophisticated Backup Server, implement Disk-to-Disk-to-Tape backup, Remote Continues File Replication, Remote Volume Mirroring, Failover Clustering or any feature you needed.
