Pioneer TS-D691R REV-series 2-Way Speaker

As the world’s leading car speaker manufacturer, Pioneer has designed our REV-series speakers to come straight from the cutting edge. The TS-D691R 6” x 9” 2-way speakers feature dual-layer Kevlar® cones for intense strength and rigidity. Laminated polyester soft dome tweeters for smooth, detailed highs. 350-watt max. power handling. And a high-performance crossover for smoother mid-to-high transitions. Add in a new spoke grille design, a REV-exclusive full-depth basket, new wave guides, and the distinctive yellow cone color…this speaker will totally transform your mobile audio system.

New Dual-Layer Kevlar® Brand Fiber Composite Cone
Our REV speakers feature a newly designed cone comprised of two layers: an outer layer of ceramic-coated Kevlar® and an inner layer of Pioneer’s IMPP reinforced with Kevlar® fiber. This dual-layer construction along with the light weight, rigidity, and incredible strength of Kevlar® offer some great advantages over other speakers. They deliver excellent responsiveness, accurate movement, and high resistance to flexing. Bottom line: tight, detailed music with improved mid-bass definition and punch.

Laminated Polyester Soft Dome Tweeter
These REV-exclusive soft-dome tweeters are made of a laminated polyester fiber and are encased in a specially designed anti-resonant sealed rear chamber. The tweeter chamber is notched behind the cone to decrease standing waves and to lower frequency response. This tweeter produces exceptionally smooth, detailed high-frequency sound.

Rear Chamber Tweeter Enclosure
REV speakers feature an exclusive rear chamber tweeter enclosure that we first used in our famed PRS speakers. It extends mid-range frequency for improved vocal imaging and staging.

D-Series Speaker CrossoverHigh-Quality Crossover
The new built-in -12dB/Octave HPF and LPF crossover improves the transition from mid to high frequency, for a smoother mid-range to tweeter response. Audiophile-grade capacitors and inductors are used, and all components are encased in a clear acrylic cover for protection.

Reduced Mounting Depth
All new REV speaker models feature reduced mounting depth (up to 4-5mm), making installs easier. This also means that many more vehicles will be perfect candidates for REV speakers.

New Basket and Magnet Boot
Our newly designed basket gives the REV-series speakers’ back sides a great new look, and its extra-thick stamped steel reduces ringing. The magnet boot serves two purposes: it dresses up the magnet, and it allowed us to reduce the mounting depth.
