HP ProLiant DL365 G5 Server

Combining concentrated 1U compute power, Integrated Lights-Out management, and essential fault tolerance, the DL365 G5 is optimized for space constrained installations. Quad-Core AMD Opteron™ processors, DDR2 memory, Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) and PCI Express technology provide a high performance system ideal for the full range of scale out applications. What's more, the DL365 G5 provides all this in an ultra-dense platform with redundant power, redundant fans, and embedded RAID capability.

What's new
The DL365 G5 is now available with Quad-Core AMD Opteron processors and Dual Dynamic Power Management.

* AMD Quad-Core processors offer AMD Balanced Smart Cache which increases performance with less thrashing by balancing L1/L2/L3 cache between dedicated and shared cores. This improves core efficiency for better support of multi-threaded virtualization environments.
* AMD Quad-Core processors also offer AMD Wide Floating Point Accelerator which enables 128 Bit Floating Point, doubling floating-point capabilities. This greatly improves performance on HPC and scientific workloads, reducing job times.
* Finally, the DL365 G5 takes advantage of the Dual Dynamic Power Management architecture which provides independent voltage planes for cores and the memory controller resulting more in granular power management capabilities and increased performance.

Ideal environment

Space constrained customers and environments of all sizes
* Its high density form factor, combining 2 processor sockets, eight DIMMs and up to six small form factor hot plug SATA or SAS drives in 1U makes the DL365 G5 ideal for data center real estate concious customers.
* The G5 now offeres AMD Quad Core processors, increasing the number of native cores per server to eight. Increasing the performance per rack U.
* N+1 redundant fans, up to 2 hot plug power supplies, ECC memory, and iLO2 offer limited down time and increased reliability and availability in high density deployments.

Corporate data centers and service providers
* Redundant fans standard and optional, redundant power supplies limit costly network downtime
* Remote manageability to support centralized or remote data center environments
* Sliding rack rails standard and optional cable management arm and fixed cord PDU accommodate dense server deployment

Sophisticated Small and Medium Businesses
* ProLiant management tools ease server deployment and life cycle management when resources are limited
* Internal configuration flexibility supports a variety of applications
* SAS and SATA models expand deployment options
