For capturing those important images in the field, a top-of-the-line field recorder is key. Sony's HDW-250 portable HDCAM VTR can be used with avariety of Sony High Definition cameras, including the HDC-750A multipurpose camera, DXC-H10 compact camera, HDW-700A camcorders and HDW750. It is compatible with both 1035 and 1080 line signals. The HDW-250, inherits all of the advantages of the DVW-250 Digital BETACAM® portable VTR, especially the familiarity of its operation. There are multiple inputs including a 26-pin camera input and HD-SDI. There are multiple outputs including HD-SDI, analog HD component, and composite down-converted NTSC.

100 Meters, camera to recorder: The camera and HDW-250 can be separated by up to 100 meters, by using HD-SDI connections.

Standard HD-SDI I/O: Provides an uncompressed, 10-bit, digital component SMPTE-292M HD serial data stream with a bit-rate of 1.5 Gbps.

124 Minutes Recording with L-cassette: Allows for added recording time important for work in the field.

Built-in NTSC Analog Composite Down Converter:  Makes the HDW-250 a useful tool in transition from NTSC to DTV.
