JVC BR-7030UB 3-IN-ONE HI-FI VHS Duplicator

With Hi-Fi VHS fast becoming the most prevalent form of video software, there is a growing need for a high-performance Hi-Fi VHS duplicator capable not only of generating large quantities of high- quality software, but of doing so quickly, efficiently, and economically. The new BR-7030U professional Hi-Fi duplicator from JVC meets those requirements and more.

Featuring three VCR chassis in just one cabinet, this tough, reliable machine is smaller than 2 times the size of a typical single-chassis duplicator, resulting in reduction of space needed for any number of recording units by 50%. With power consumption equivalent to a single-chassis unit, the BR-7030U slashes energy costs by two-thirds. And, with three recorders in a single unit, it reduces the number of necessary cables and peripheral components by two-thirds.

It all adds up to huge cost savings right across the board, as well as greater efficiency and higher productivity. At the same time, the BR-7030U retains all the quality you'd expect from the inventor of VHS and is equipped with a full range of advanced professional features for maximum performance and reliability. For high quality, cost-effective Hi-Fi VHS duplicating, nothing makes more sense than the new Three-In-One BR-7030U Hi-Fi VHS Duplicator from JVC.

MORE RECORDING UNITS--LESS SPACE
With three individual VHS recording units built into a single cabinet, the BR-7030U permits much more efficient use of space. A single BR-7030U containing three recording units occupies 12 to 15 rack units in a standard duplicator rack, whereas three of the single-chassis BR-7000U models take up 24 units. That means that with the BR-7030U, an equivalent number of recording units take up 50% less space.

REDUCED POWER CONSUMPTION
The BR-7030U's three-in-one design also permits significant savings in one of today's most critical areas--energy. One BR-7030U consumes exactly the same amount of power (55 watts) as a single BR-7000U. So power consumption for each recording unit is reduced by two-thirds.

LOWER EQUIPMENT COSTS
Additional equipment costs are drastically reduced with the BR- 7030U because it requires no more cables (video, audio, remote, power) than a single BR-7000U. In terms of recording units, that means that the number of necessary cables for the Br-7030U is one- third the number required by the BR-7000U. This reduction applies as well to the number of video and audio distribution amplifiers required, resulting in a system cost savings of more than 60%.

SUPERIOR HIGH FIDELITY SOUND
To ensure the very best stereo high fidelity sound, the BR-7030U uses two rotary audio heads designed exclusively for Hi-Fi VHS recording. The result is superior stereo audio performance characteristics: wider frequency response, dynamic range of more than 85dB, and minimum wow and flutter. For top-quality "normal" stereo audio, a Dolby noise reduction circuit is employed. Audio inputs can be separate (four channel) or combined (two channel).

MAINTENANCE FRIENDLY
"Throughput" is critical to any duplication operation, and the BR- S7030 is designed to offer maximum efficiency with ease of maintenance. The large dome recording indicator on each transport flashes if a malfunction is detected. The individual transport units slide out of the main chassis from the front, without the need to disconnect cables, and it is even possible to pull a defective unit while the other two transports are recording. For automatic monitoring of machine status, an output is provided which can signal a central monitoring station.

A sophisticated diagnostic system helps troubleshoot the BR-7030U by displaying a digital code on the machine's front panel that corresponds to a malfunction in one of the transports. Front panel test points permit critical measurements and adjustments. Each tape transport is equipped with an automatic head cleaning mechanism to further reduce down time. Each transport unit also has a 5000 hour meter.

An optional plug-in CTL address code generator allows each transport to encode a unique identification number on the tape. This enables a facility to pinpoint a malfunctioning machine during QC.
