Features:

Oustanding Brightness
The VPL-FX52 delivers 6000 ANSI lumens, enough light output to illuminate large screens even with harsh ambient light conditions. In small screen environments or where ambient light can be controlled, the VPL-FX52 light output can be lowered to 5100 ANSI lumens in order to extend the life ot the lamp.

HIGH Contrast Ratio
High Contrast is essential for reproducing image detail. With a 1000:1 contrast ratio, the VPL-FX52 produces crisp images with accurate reproduction of even the most subtle image components.

Sophisticated Design
The VPL-FX52 makes a statement even before it's turned on. No other projector looks like the VPL-FX52 thanks to its strikingly beautiful design and symmetry, made possible only by a center mounted lens.

RGB Enhancer
This special circuitry enhances the data signals coming from a computer so that graphics are displayed with the utmost clarity and precision.

3D Gamma Correction
It's the subtle things that set the VPL-FX52 apart from other projectors. Sony's unique 3D Gamma Correction ensures brightness and color reproduced by the projector are uniform across the entire screen. The result is consistent and accurate image reproduction down to the finest detail.

3D Digital Comb Filter  A 3D digital comb filter ensures that composite video is reproduced with very little dot interference (dot crawl) and cross color errors. This enables the faithful reproduction of fine detail especially at the borders of objects in the video image.

Sony's Exclusive Dynamic Detail Enhancer
A special circuit, named the Dynamic Detail Enhancer (DDE) is employed whenever the VPL-FX52 detects an image created from film using the 2-3 pull down technique. Sony's DDE circuit correctly rebuilds the frame sequence thereby eliminating jitter.

RM-PJM17 Remote Commander™ Unit
Is a full-function remote control for projector set up and control. It's a lot of power in one hand, but it's easy and comfortable to use.

4X Digital Zoom
Great for enlarging spreadsheets and diagrams so spectators don't have to fumble for eye glasses.

Quiet Operation
A carefully designed chassis and a forward discharge air exhaust ensure that the meeting will be quiet and spectators will be cool and comfortable.

Wide Range of Input Signals
Install the VPL-FX52 with the confidence that it will handle virtually any signal thrown its way. Composite video; component video; HDTV and computer signals up to UXGA are "spoken" fluently with the VPL-FX52.

DVI-D Input
The digital RGB input uses an industry standard interface so that connections can be made easily.

Extreme Tilt Angles
The VPL-FX52 can be tilted up or down 90 degrees making it ideal for rear screen and HoloPro™screen applications.

Optional Lenses
Some applications require special placement of the projector. The VPL-FX52 is friendly to these applications thanks to an assortment of optional lenses which can provide longer or shorter throw distances.

Power Zoom/Focus/Picture Shift
Motorized zoom and focus functions mean that users can easily adjust images to the desired settings from both the projector control panel or supplied remote commander unit. The powered picture shift feature enables the user to change the height of the projected image. This saves time during setup, helps the projector blend in to esthetically pleasing environments and is essential for double stacking applications.

Direct Power On
The VPL-FX52 can be powered on and off via a simple wall switch just like the ones used to power on room lights. This means users will need to do nothing more than "flip a switch" to make the projector power-on. Other devices can also be connected to that same circuit such as projector screens, lights, and drapes.

Digital Keystone Correction
When a projector is used at extreme angles, the projected image can become trapezoidal in shape. Specialized digital circuitry enables the VPL-FX52 to correct the image geometry in the digital domain rendering an output image which is sharp, clear, and rectangular.

Smart APA (Auto Pixel Alignment)
Getting the most out of a projector has never been easier. Simply press one button, and the VPL-FX52 will optimize its settings for the best possible image reproduction. Clearly its a phenomenal projector.

On Screen Display
The functions of the projector can be controlled via a menu which is projected on to the viewed image in any of nine different languages. Choices are: English, Dutch, French, Italian, Spanish, German, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean.

Lamp Power Selector
The lamp brightness can be adjusted from the on-screen menu enabling users to extend the projectors lamp life by using the projector at lower power.

Network Capability
The VPL-FX52 can be connected (wired) to a LAN. It can be assigned an IP Address or it can accept dynamic IP addressing. In addition, users can perform remote diagnostics on the projector, greatly saving time and money.

Network Capability - Remote Control
Using a simple Internet browser, users can access and control the VPL-FX52 projector. The interface is a user friendly web page, but the control provided is completely professional strength.

Network Capability - Remote Diagnostics
It's easy for management staff to keep track of the VPL-FX52 projector's performance. Either by using an Internet browser to access the projector, or by using Sony's PJNet software, the VPL-FX52 can report back lamp hours used, operating status and it can be programmed to alert AV managers via an email message when it's time for maintenance. Absolutely brilliant.
