The imagePRESS C1 offers several advanced technologies including a much smaller toner particle size that averages 5.5 microns which delivers vivid and detailed images; advanced twin red laser beam imaging with up to 1200x1200 dpi resolution to give you razor sharp text and graphics.
With a choice of three optional print controllers, the imagePRESS C1 can meet the needs of the demanding print environment from entry-level graphics and office documents to intensive graphic and variable data files. To maximize versatility, the system has saddle-stitched booklet finishing, hole punching, tab-feeding and high capacity stacking.
The imagePRESS C1 model builds on Canon's next-generation imagePlatform for imagePRESS architecture, offering both traditional and new capabilities that allow you to accomplish the most complex, advanced document handlings with ease.
Features
- With a Print/Copy speed of up to 14 PPM in Color and up to 60 PPM in black and white, the imagePRESS C1 is equipped with a 80 GB Hard Disk Drive and 1 GB RAM, providing users with exceptional productivity and reliability.
- With a scanning resolution of 600 x 600 dpi, enhanced copy/print resolution of up to 1200 x 1200 dpi, the imagePRESS C1 delivers outstanding image quality, sharp text and graphics for the most graphic intensive environments.
- Features a 10.4 inch full-color user interface that is comprehensive, intuitive, and smart. It provides instant status display for media and toner levels and keeps logs of everything that is done to the press.
- The oil-free based V Toner is the finest pulverized toner in the market. With its small particle size of 5.5 microns (average size) and large color gamut the imagePRESS C1 delivers vivid and vibrant colors throughout the job.
- The Advanced Imaging Transfer Belt technology drives improvements in both media versatility as well as image quality. The AITB uses a composite construction to print superb color on a wide range of surfaces. The soft belt surface enables excellent image transfer to uneven media.
- When the V Toner and Belt Fusing Technology are combined they deliver a natural looking, gloss finish which we call Gloss Optimization. With these two combinations the amount of time the toner is exposed to the fusing unit varies. Eliminating blistering or wrinkling. And high density levels on gloss media will have a smooth finish.
- The Advanced Smoothing Technology reduces jagged edges by creating smooth curves, sharp edges, and clean lines. The Graphics and text look sharper and crisper. The end result is that the job is produced at the highest level of quality.
- The Twin Red Imaging Laser will produce a true 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution that delivers higher resolution, finer halftones, clean and precise lines, and smooth gradients that contribute to crisp text and detailed graphics.
- The E drum is newly designed with a new over coat layer to protect the lower layer from scratches. This new layer improves color stability and drum durability.
- With the new Auto Carrier Refresh a constant supply of fresh toner is applied resulting in reliable, consistent density. It also improves uptime by eliminating frequent carrier changes.
- With New Real Time Calibration the shifts in color are dramatically reduced by the constant measurement of color patches. When an unacceptable hue shift is detected, the press automatically resets itself to instantly produce the correct color. This capability ensures that the color is accurate from page-to-page.
- With Automatic Press Calibration approximately 10 test patterns are printed to ensure the highest color reproduction. After the sensors read the patches the appropriate changes will be applied to ensure color accuracy.
- The imagePRESS C1 supports up to 13"x19" and 17 lb. bond to 140 lb. index media through the stack bypass. Coated media can also be used through the stack bypass and Paper Deck-AA1 with the help of the heat and humidity sensors that support the Air Assist Technology.
- The New Media Library allows users to edit, manage, and select media from one central location. There will be 37 custom type medias. In addition the operator may store up to 200 custom types.
- The new Belt Fusing Technology improves gloss optimization. The temperature of the belt fuser is one of the lowest in the industry which helps avoid wrinkles and blistering of the media without sacrificing image quality.
