Garmin DGPS 53 Receiver

Developed in response to market demands for greater GPS accuracy, Garmin's DGPS-53 receiver corrects for Selective Availability (SA) (in the event that this is ever recommissioned by the U.S. Government) and atmospheric error, enabling an accuracy of 1-5 meters.

Packaged in a low-profile, waterproof housing, the DGPS 53 combines our powerful 12-channel GPS receiver and antenna with an auto-tuning, differential beacon receiver. NMEA and RS-232 compatible, the DGPS 53 is the perfect solution for integration with chart plotters and radar, as well as personal computers. Absolutely no grounding is required. Traditional "E-field" whip-style antennas can be extremely difficult to ground properly. The DGPS 53 receiver/antenna combination uses an internal "H-field" antenna that guarantees simple installation.
