Asus P4S8X-X SiS 648 Motherboard

Support Intel Hyper-Threading Technology, 3.06GHz P4, AGP 8X, S/PDIF out, USB 2.0, 533MHz FSB and an abundance of unique ASUS designs. The P4S8X-X motherboard incorporated the SiS 648 chipset to support the socket 478 P4 platform.

3GHz+ CPU and Intel Hyper-Threading technology support
Leveraging the SiS648 chipset to support Intel Hyper-Threading 3GHz+ P4 CPUs on 533MHz FSB, DDR333 memory, the P4S8X-X delivers a full-value, high-performance solution for today's most demanding tasks.

AGP 8X Technology
AGP8X (AGP 3.0) is the next generation VGA interface specification that enables enhanced graphics performance with high bandwidth speeds up to 2.12GB/s. With a bus of 533MHz, AGP8X is twice as fast as AGP4X.

MuTIOL Technology
The P4S8X-X supports high-bandwidth DDR333 and unique MuTIOL technology increases the bus speed between the northbridge and southbridge to 1GB/sec.

S/PDIF out Interface on back I/O (on audio model only)
The P4S8X-X's S/PDIF out function turns your computer into a high-end entertainment system with digital connectivity to powerful speaker systems.

6 Channel Audio
The P4S8X-X uses an onboard Audio CODEC that lets you enjoy high-quality 6-channel audio without having to buy advanced sound cards.

10/100 Mbps LAN Support
Easy connectivity to your network or broadband connection with onboard LAN port, lets you take gaming online without having to buy an additional LAN card.

USB 2.0 Ready
USB 2.0 is the latest connectivity standard for next generation components and peripherals. Backward compatible with current USB 1.1 peripherals, USB 2.0 delivers transfer speeds up to 40 times faster at 480Mb/s, for easy connectivity and ultra-fast data transfers.

ASUS CrashFree BIOS2
The CrashFree BIOS 2 feature now includes the BIOS auto-recovery function in a support CD. Users can reboot their system through the support CD when a bootable disk is not available, and go through the simple BIOS auto-recovery process. ASUS motherboards now enable users to enjoy this protection feature without the need to pay for an optional ROM.

C.P.R.(CPU Parameter Recall)
When the system hangs due to overclocking failure, there is no need to open the case to clear CMOS data. Simply restart the system and the BIOS will automatically restore the CPU default setting for each parameter.

ASUS EZ Flash
With ASUS EZ Flash, you can update BIOS before entering operating system. No more DOS-based flash utility and bootable diskette required.

Extreme Overclocking
ASUS P4S8X-X offers robust overclocking options to maximize your system performance.
- Flexible CPU Core Voltage Adjustments in 0.025V increments over defaults
- SFS (Stepless Frequency Selection) from 100Mhz up to 166MHz at 1MHz increanerts
- AGP/PCI Asynchronous Mode with FSB (fixed AGP/PCI frequencies)
- ASUS propritary C.P.R.(CPU Parameter Recall)
