Leica M80 Stereomicroscope

The new Leica M80 is a compact stereomicroscope with an 8:1 zoom and a standard magnification of 7.5x-60x combining all the properties you expect from a first-class routine microscope: flexibility, convenience, low maintenance and, of course, first-class imaging performance.

The one-of-a-kind LED illumination product range worldwide
The new M series has been designed specifically for use with Leica LED illumination systems. Unlike conventional light sources, LED light solutions use up to 90% less power, provide excellent illumination and reduce costs thanks to their durability.

Benefit from a comprehensive range of LED illumination systems specifically designed for a wide range of applications:

Excellent service life Any costs for expensive replacement lamps are eliminated due to the LED's service life of approx. 50,000 operating hours.

Low heat buildup The low heat buildup makes using a fan unnecessary; unwanted fan noise is eliminated, swirling of dust is avoided and space requirements can be further reduced.

Optimal lighting With a color temperature of 6500 K (color-neutral daylight), all Leica LED light sources offer the best possible image impression. The samples can be observed in their true colour.

As convenient as you could wish for
In routine microscopy, convenience and ergonomics are the deciding factors not only for product satisfaction at the workstation, but also for your physical well-being. Thanks to the comprehensive range of Leica ergonomic accessories and the LAS software (Leica Application Suite), every workstation can be customized to your preferences.

Key Features

* 8:1 zoom ratio
* Standard magnification 7.5x-60x
* Comprehensive LED illumination systems
* Extensive range of accessories for all requirements
* Automated or manual operation
* Ergonomic design for the optimum workstation
* Large magnification at great working distance

Ergonomics
The Leica ErgoTube™ will become an invaluable aid if several users share a workstation. The flexible viewing height guarantees relaxed work for many hours, without having to make any overly complex adjustments to adapt the installation to different body heights.

Large working distance
The Leica M80 allow a large working distance despite the high magnification levels. The specimen can be manipulated more easily and thus examined more comfortably.

Well-designed arrangement
Leica Microsystems' decades of experience are noticeable with every maneuver. Each element is located in the right place, is intuitively positioned and thus makes a significant contribution to create a comfortable working environment.

Leica LED3000 NVI™
The Leica LED3000 NVI™ (for "Near Vertical Illumination") ensures almost vertical, shadow-free illumination and thus enables you to see deep inside drill holes and other indentations.

Leica LED5000 CXI™
The Leica LED5000 CXI™ coaxial illumination is perfectly suited for observing smooth, reflective surfaces. Coaxial illumination creates a light intensity that is 3x higher than that of comparable 150 watt cold light sources.

Automation
The Leica M50/M80 can be operated manually for simple routine tasks. However, if recurring movement sequences characterize your workday or reproducibility is essential, both stereomicroscopes can be automated using the Leica Application Suite (LAS).
Moreover, Leica Microsystems is the only supplier of completely automatable LED illumination systems in the world.You can save entire illumination scenarios and later call them up again via the LAS. You can count on consistent results and absolute reliability for your experiments.
