Olympus OLA2500 High Speed Sorter HSS

Achieve high-speed productivity in the lab with the OLA2500 High Speed Sorter (HSS) system, dedicated for pre- and post-analytical sorting requirements. As a front-end sample-processor, the OLA2500 HSS selectively decaps and then sorts primary sample tubes to their destination racks quickly – to save time, labor, and eliminate sample-handling errors. Post-analytical archiving to any archive rack is also achieved on the same system, with complete sample tracking capabilities.

The Olympus OLA2500 HSS is another product in the Olympus Lab Automation line of solutions to increase productivity and efficiency in high-volume laboratories and blood processing centers. It automates time consuming and mistake prone tasks involving intelligent sample tube sorting to workstations and archive preparation.

Automates your sample-processing requirements

* Sample tube decapping and sorting with throughput of up to 1200 tubes per hour
* Minimize your staff's biohazard exposure, reduce errors, and reduce repetitive motion injuries associated with manual sample-processing
* User-defined applications for decapping, sorting, and archiving
* Identifies sample tube size, cap type and color, and sample volume using an on-board digital image analysis system
* An ultrasonic sensor to detect full, open sample tubes. Full sample tubes are moved at a lower speed in order to prevent spills
* Processes most primary tubes (including conventional, BD Hemoguard, Greiner, or screw top closures in parallel)
* Builds personality racks for Olympus, Hitachi, Beckman-Coulter and others

Greater capacity and productivity

* Load up to 6 racks containing as many as 300 samples in the input area
* Sort to any number of output sorting targets with up to 1080 tube capacity
* Sort primary sample tubes to any output sorting targets, with correct barcode orientation
* Access samples in the system without interrupting the systems with electronically controlled drawers

Flexible decapping and sorting

* Sorts primary sample tubes at high speeds to meet peak load demands
* Archive samples in parallel with sorting or separately in batch
* User defined sorting areas that accommodates any analyzer sample rack
* Reduces the number of "problem tubes" at the analytical workstations by sorting out tubes with barcode label and test order problems
* Decap a variety of tube closures in parallel

Flexible and easy to use Windows® software

* Easy to use graphic user interface with real time update of the instrument's status
* Specimen tracking enables quick identification of samples at the sorting areas
* Customized sorting rules using the Olympus Sorting Drive software and LIS interface

Support

* 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, 365 days/year technical support
* Modem link to Technical Services for virtual on-site troubleshooting
* On-site field service
* Training on-site by the Olympus Training Department
