Canon Eye Q Digital Retinal Imaging System

Delivering true high-resolution digital imaging and telemedicine capabilities to your desktop makes Eye Q your total software and hardware solution for the 21st century. Eye Q enables ophthalmologists and optometrists to instantly capture ultra high-resolution digital images with Canon's leading-edge fundus and non-mydriatic retinal cameras …..and review, analyze, print and digitally communicate those images to any physician….at any facility…anywhere in the world.

Eye Q provides the high quality and performance you expect…

Easy-to-use interface
Eye Q's interface is intuitively designed to follow user workflow and system application. Using a simple windows-type format, convenient drop-down menus, and strategic help 'wizards', users can easily manipulate the comprehensive software features….taking full advantage of Eye Q's advanced imaging capabilities.

Advanced review and analysis functions
A full range of image manipulation functions allows users to enhance image detail, measure cup/disc ratios, view sequential fundus or video images, and much more. Plus, extensive reporting tools and dialogues make it easy to track data and images…and, ultimately, present information to patients in a clear and concise way.

Ultra fast image and data recall
Synchronization of patient and image files is automatic and seamless from local to remote Eye Q systems. This enables extremely fast access to images and data whenever and wherever needed.

Unlimited database capacity
Patient records and image reference are enclosed and stored locally in separate indexed database on high capacity media (e.g. DVD or CD-ROM) or a network server. This efficient database design allows the system to be fully cross-referenceable (e.g. by patient, diagnosis, visit, etc)…with no space limitation.

Scalable system design
Full capability to expand or integrate additional workstations is built into the Eye Q system design. The system readily supports either a stand-alone capture and review station…or multiple stations connected over a network or through phone lines.

LAN, WAN and DICOM/HL-7 network capabilities
Eye Q is compatible with local [LAN], wide [WAN] and DICOM/HL-7 networks…and has the digital standardization required to fully participating in image and data sharing within the growing telemedicine community. (Optional module required.)
