Get things done, stay connected, and enjoy a variety of entertainment in a secure environment with Windows Vista. This series comes with Vista Home Premium, which includes Windows Aero, Windows Media Center, and instant search functionality.

Dual-core performance
AMD's Athlon 64 X2 dual-core processors, designed to let more applications run at once, can even take on demands like video editing. It's no problem to run security applications, burn a disc, and edit video without bogging down your PC.

Cool entertainment software
You can download a free AMD Live! entertainment suite (www.amdlive.com) to bring out the best in the m8000e. Specifically designed applications include tools for compressing large video files (to one tenth their size), streaming photos and video to any Internet-connected media player (including cell phone or PDA), and free backing up of files and photos to an on-line server.

TV options
This series includes a PCI TV tuner card with a personal video recorder, which lets you record both shows and entire series, plus pause and rewind live material. And you can upgrade to a dual tuner that lets you watch and record two programs at once1. Either way, the included remote lets you direct the action from up to 10 feet away.

High-performance graphics
Customize your m8000e with a dedicated graphics card to bring images, videos, and games to life on your screen. A card with dedicated video memory will help your system run more smoothly when handling large, graphics-intensive applications.

LightScribe disc labeling
The included DVD writer with HP's LightScribe technology lets you burn precise, professional-looking labels from your PC straight on to LightScribe-enabled CDs and DVDs2. After burning a disc, you just flip it over and insert back in the same drive for labeling; there's no need to print, align, or adhere anything.

Plenty of storage
You can never have too much space for storing digital video files, photos, and songs. With this in mind, these PCs have Serial ATA hard drives with up to 400GB (7200 rpm) when you customize. In addition, you can select a RAID-enabled hard drive up to 400GB for mirroring (data backup and security) or high performance.

Protect your PC
The Pavilion m8000e comes with a 15-month subscription to Norton Internet Security 2007 software; you can upgrade to 36 months of protection from viruses, worms, and other malicious programs. For even greater protection, select Roxio BackUp MyPC software, which creates automatic file backups and restores files in the event of a system crash.

Fast file transfers
This series makes it simple to transfer photos and music from portable devices and digital cameras to your PC. You'll download everything fast with the built-in 15-in-1 digital media card reader.
