• The imageRUNER C5870U device offers black-and-white output speeds of up to 58 pages-per-minute with the ability to handle occasional color requirements at 16 ppm. The device also supports fast scanning speeds of up to 70-ipm (ltr, 300 dpi).
• The imageRUNNER C5870U has been designed with an innovative dual processor supporting up to 1GB RAM and a 80GB hard disk drive, thus eliminating bottlenecks and improving network efficiency.
• With Canon's standard Color Universal Send technology, users are able to scan and distribute documents to multiple destinations, eliminating expense and administrative burden associated with conventional methods of printing, filing, and forwarding of hard-copy documents. In addition, users may add the optional PDF High-Compression Kit-A1 to send complex and detailed color pages efficiently over network lines and the Universal Send PDF Enhancement Kit-C1 offering Searchable PDF and Encrypted functionality.
• Installed with an optional Super G3 Fax Board-U1, the imageRUNNER C5870U can be transformed into an advanced, easy-to-use fax machine.
• With reliable consumables and supplies, the imageRUNNER C5870U device offers easy-to-replace and high yielding toners. And, a durable Amorphous Silicon Drum, which delivers high reliability over millions of impressions for both black-and-white and color output.

• Users can choose to add the Canon Color UFR II/PCL/PS Printer Kit-L1, which delivers printing capabilities with support for PCL 5e/6, PostScript® 3™ emulation, and Canon's UFR II (Ultra Fast Rendering) technology.
• The generous paper supply of 4,200 sheets can be boosted to a bountiful capacity of 7,700 sheets for virtual uninterrupted productivity. The imageRUNNER C5870U supports large paper sizes of up to 13" x 19" and heavy weights of up to 140lb. Index, and can accommodate tab paper and transparencies.
• Users can choose to add the optional Finisher-R1 or Saddle Finisher-R2 for advanced document finishing capabilities. The Saddle Finisher allows users to create folded booklets for paper sizes including Letter, 11" x 17", and Legal-sized paper.
